INJURY RESPONSE KIT FOR YOUTH ATHLETES – PRESERVE GRANT

This grant includes equipment that can respond to a number of athletic injuries beyond what a common first aid kit is able to provide. This kit is specifically designed for athletic programs who may not have an athletic trainer onsite at practices and games. However, schools with athletic trainers who do not have this equipment are also encouraged to apply. 
 

The injury response kit grant includes: 
 

  • Two DJO Cold Therapy Units 

  • Crutch Bag

  • Crutches-Adult

  • Crutches-Tall

  • Eye Wash Solution

  • Wound Wash Solution

  • Antiseptic Spray 

  • Vinyl Gloves

  • Elastic Bandages, array of sizes

  • Adhesive Bandages, array of sizes

  • Save-A-Tooth

  • Finger Splints

  • Arm Slings

  • CPR Face Shield

  • Bandage Scissors

  • Splint Kit

  • Trainer’s Angel

  • Knee Immobilizer

  • SAM Splint

  • Basic Athletic Training Book

GUIDELINES

 

Specific guidelines and limitations for each grant are available in the application form. Schools will be notified by email or phone call of application status. If you have any questions about our grants or the application process, please contact us. Any Oklahoma organization with an existing sports program may apply pending they meet one of the following conditions:

 

  • public school district and/or school site with a poverty rate of 40% or higher

  • private school serving students in poverty areas

  • sports club or booster club directly connected to a school district or school site with a 40% poverty rate or higher

  • a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization involved with community sporting events, teams or activities serving a poverty area
